Green Power Challenge
The final of the Green Power Challenge, an electric endurance test, will be held at the Circuit de Zolder on May 26, 2024. All teams will drive an electric car equipped with a 240-W motor and two 12-volt batteries. The goal is to cover as much distance as possible. This is also how the winner will be announced. And all this with the available energy given by the car. Nevertheless, this car reaches such speeds of 70km per hour.
This is divided into two categories. Students up to 16 years of age are category F24. Young people between the ages of 17 and 25 are category F24+.
A team always consists between a facilitator (usually the teacher) and a group of students (the class). The main objective of the Greenpower Challenge is to get young people excited about STEM - Sience, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics - career choices.
