This active RPM sensor is a small sensor that is mounted on the spark plug cable between the ignition coil and the spark plug. The sensor is attached with strips. This active RPM sensor consists of nothing less than 21 components mounted on either side of a small circuit board on the tube. This active sensor feeds the Laptimer with a clean stream of ignition pulses. Combined with the advanced digital filtering in the Laptimer, this sensor plays an important role in giving the best RPM measurement on the market. The RPM sensor is made with a high quality cable and connector and is molded to prevent moisture from entering the electronics.
