The structure consists of eleven layers of carbon fiber, reinforced with a Peripheral Belt, an additional reinforcement belt above the visor for optimal protection. The use of Arai's "Resin plus Zylon" resin creates an extremely strong, yet ultra-light fiber-reinforced shell.
