Description
Schuberth SP1 Carbon EVO
Schuberth SP1 Carbon EVO is a masterfully handcrafted motorsport helmet that represents absolute excellence. The helmet offers exceptional comfort, unparalleled finish quality and stunning attention to detail. The model is the evolved successor to the SP1 Carbon and now meets the most stringent motorsport standards: FIA 8859-2024, FIA 8878-2024, Snell SA2025 and K2025. A helmet built for riders who do not compromise.
With nearly a century of experience in head protection and more than 20 years of working with top riders in F1, IndyCar and other top global series, Schuberth brings its full technological know-how together in this helmet. In their own carbon, wind tunnel, acoustics and load testing laboratories, a helmet has been created that combines safety, aerodynamics, comfort, silence and optional integrated electronics into pure excellence.
Exclusive carbon fiber construction
SP1 Carbon EVO features a fully autoclaved carbon fiber shell, carefully hand-laid. This results in an extremely light but extremely strong helmet, designed in accordance with Schuberth's iconic design philosophy.
Each helmet is produced in Schuberth's own factory in Italy - by the same specialists who also build the legendary SF4 model used by Max Verstappen, Nico Hülkenberg and Isaac Hadjar, among others.
Aerodynamic masterpiece
Extensive wind tunnel testing ensures optimal airflow and stability.
The helmet offers:
- 12 integrated ventilation channels
Perfect circulation thanks to clever air conduction in shell and EPS. At 100 km/h, up to 14 liters of fresh air per second flow through the helmet. - Customizable aerodynamics.
Compatible with spoilers and ventilation coops to adapt the helmet to any racing condition. - Visor & visor system
- 3 mm thick 3D injected visor, straight from F1 technology
- Available in numerous variants: clear, smoke, various mirror coatings and multilayer options
- Pinlock® 120 fitted as standard for maximum anti-fog performance
- Tear-off buttons provided as standard
- SDL - Schuberth Dual Locking System.
A two-stage F1-level visor lock that always closes the visor perfectly symmetrically and securely.
Communications & electronics
The helmet is prepared for race teams and communication equipment:
- Built-in cable channels in the cheek pads
- Optionally available: plug-and-play integrated electronics
Included with purchase
- Schuberth SDL Mirror Visor (Clear Red transparent, incl. Pinlock® 120 - fitted)
- Schuberth helmet bag
- Schuberth visor sticker
What exactly does SDL mean?
SDL is the designation of the visor mechanism and matching visors designed for certain older and special Schuberth. So visors called "Schuberth SDL" are intended for helmets using this system.
Features of Schuberth SDL visors
- Specially designed for helmets with the SDL mechanism
- Available in different shades (Clear, Light Smoke, Dark Smoke, Multilayer colors, HC options)
- Made to fit perfectly with no gaps
- Often provided with scratch-resistant and optical quality coatings
For which helmets?
SDL visors fit specific Schuberth, usually from older series or special run helmets (e.g. racing or service helmets). So it is important for a user to check if their helmet has the SDL system.

When shopping online, it is very helpful to know exactly what size you need. To help you on your way, below you will find an overview of the helmet brands we sell, so you can easily estimate which helmet size you should choose in function of which helmet type.
To determine proper sizing, measure your head circumference just above the ears along the temples. Dut is the widest circumference point of your skull.Â

Arai CK-6 and Zamp Kids helmets must be compulsorily worn by karters up to 15 years old at National competitions. However, the following piece is important to know: [expander_maker id="1″ more="Read more" less="View less"]
'Helmets intended for heads with a circumference of 60 cm or more are considered adult head protection and will not be accepted for certification to this standard. Children requiring head protection in these sizes are encouraged to wear suitable helmets certified to adult standards.' Found on page 4 - 'constructions - A. General' via the following link https://www.fiakarting.com/sites/default/files/2019-09/CM2016.pdf

It is important to know that we sell EUROPEAN sizes, on the internet you often see Arai helmets for sale at a lower rate, these are usually Arai helmets with JAPANESE sizes. The biggest difference is in the inside of the helmet a European has an oval head in the length and a Japanese has an oval head in the width. So when buying a helmet make sure that you follow the correct European dimensions.
If you have doubts about a certain 'authenticity' of an Arai helmet, please contact us as an importer within the BELUX for the Arai motorsport and karting products and we will be happy to help you.
Regarding motorsport helmets, persons who wear glasses should note that the GP5 WP's visor opening offers a wider and higher field of vision i.e. is easier to put on glasses.
