Advanced multi-layer protection

The Alpinestars Rib Protector is constructed from several protective layers that work together to effectively absorb and distribute impact:

• 3 mm high-density comfortable inner padding for optimal comfort
• 4 mm layer of EVA foam that absorbs impact and reduces vibration
• Fiberglass panel that distributes the impact over a larger surface area and reduces pressure on the rib cage

This combination provides a high level of protection without compromising on comfort or flexibility.

Perfect fit

Thanks to the adjustable Velcro fasteners on the back, the rib protector can be easily adjusted to fit the rider’s body shape. Each adult size features three separate Velcro adjustments for a precise and secure fit. This rib protector is also available in a children’s version.

Fitting advice

To ensure you choose the right size, we recommend trying on the rib protector with the clothing you normally wear while karting.

When putting it on:

• Fasten the chest strap securely
• Make sure the rib cage is completely covered
• Make sure that your breathing, arm movements, and driving posture are not restricted
• Choose a size that fits snugly without causing discomfort

Maintenance

If the rib protector gets dirty, it can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soapy water.

To extend the service life, we recommend using the rib protector:

• Store in a hanging or lying position
• Store in a dry, well-ventilated place
