When buying a rib protector, it is important to be well informed because there is no official homologation or mandatory approval by the FIA/CIK. That means there is no international standard that a rib guard must meet, but safety should always be the top priority.

Who's Bengio?

Bengio 's origins go back more than 20 years, when Alessandro Begnozzi, a promising karting driver, suffered a serious chest injury during a racing accident. This brought him to the point of quitting racing.

His father, Stefano Begnozzi, saw the shortcomings of traditional rib guards and decided to develop an innovative protector. He spent more than a year designing a high-quality, ergonomic rib guard that offered better protection than existing models. In collaboration with five-time world champion Danilo Rossi and the DR Racing Team, the rib guard was extensively tested and optimized.

Today, Bengio is known as a pioneer in rib protection, with products used by professional and amateur drivers worldwide.
