Sometimes the only way to get a grip on a cold, wet or slippery track surface is to apply downward pressure on the two outer tubes. In these cases raising the seat helps to get a higher centre of gravity and under certain circumstances it can help to get extra grip. The problem is that many of these small adjustments cannot be achieved quickly enough when it rains. The Rain Meister speeds up the task.
