What homologation do you need?

Before buying a helmet, it is important to check which homologation is required for your racing class. The Zamp RZ 59 only has Snell SA2020 certification and no FIA homologation.

Many championships require an FIA-approved helmet, so always check your race organization's rules to avoid having your helmet disallowed during a technical inspection.

If you are unsure about the correct homologation, please contact the organization of your racing championship or our team for advice.

FIA certifications

✔ FIA 8860-2010 & 8859-2015 - Currently valid.
❌ FIA 8858-2010 - Expires 31/12/2023.

Snell certifications

✔ SA2020 - Currently valid.
❌ SA2010 & SAH2010 - Expires on 31/12/2023.

CMR certifications (for junior karting).

✔ Snell CMR2016 - Currently valid.

'Helmets intended for heads with a circumference of 60 cm or more are considered adult head protection and will not be accepted for certification to this standard. It is important to know that we sell EUROPEAN sizes, on the internet you often see Arai helmets for sale at a lower rate, these are usually Arai helmets with JAPANESE sizes. The biggest difference is in the inside of the helmet a European has an oval head in the length and a Japanese has an oval head in the width. So when buying a helmet make sure that you follow the correct European dimensions.
