Do you know about the Arai GP7 FRP?
Scale construction PB-CLC
Complex laminate construction with Arai's own (super fiber) peripheral belt, derived from our F-1 technology, significantly increases the strength and flexibility of the shell while maintaining a low weight and a lower center of gravity. Positioned over the top of the eye port, this belt contributes to the use of a thinner EPS liner that significantly improves the upward field of vision. A specially designed 'mechanically expanded fibre mat', sandwiched between the inner and outer layers of Arai's patented Super Fibre Laminates, is used to strengthen and bond these two Super Fibre layers without placing significant strain on the helmet.
In order to minimize impact energy entering the helmet, it is crucial that a helmet is able to glide over a surface. Arai believes that a strong, round and smooth shell helps to increase a helmet's ability to protect the rider during an impact. Shells with sharp edges or ventilation channels that do not break can reduce the helmet's ability to glide, send energy to the helmet or even amplify the rotational energy.
Inspected five times
Each Arai helmet passes through five separate quality control departments: after the shell has been made, after painting and graphic completion, after assembly and two in-process inspections.
Washable interior
The high-quality interior of every Arai helmet can be easily cleaned with mild soap and lukewarm water.
Handmade
It can take up to five years before our experts have earned the right to make an Arai shell. Each shell can take up to 27 steps and to build one Arai helmet, it takes about 18 man-hours.
Optimal comfort
All day comfort with the Arai interior fit and shape together with the best lining materials and the extensive ventilation system. And thanks to the helmet's perfect balance and weight distribution, you hardly notice you're wearing an Arai.
Daily comfort with the Arai interior fit and shape together with the best lining materials and the extensive ventilation system. And thanks to the perfect balance and weight distribution of the helmet you hardly notice that you are wearing an Arai.
Penetration tested
All Arai helmets have been tested for penetration, although not required by European helmet standards. The Arai penetration test is carried out with a 3 kg test cone that strikes the helmet from a height of 3 metres.
Double-D ring device
The flat and D-shaped rings connect smoothly to the chin. No moving parts, no corrosion problems and just pulling the tab is enough to loosen the clasp.
Smooth shape, better protection
The smooth outer shell of Arai helmets is designed to glide without unnecessary resistance. You do not want to slow down your helmet more than necessary. That is why all Arai vents and ducts are designed to break off during a collision.
Strong outer shell, soft inner shell
Arai uses a very strong outer shell to disperse impact forces and a soft inner shell to absorb residual energy. The multi-density EPS inner shell is made using a unique technology that combines three to five densities in different areas as a single component.
Organic shape
The organic shape of an Arai outer shell provides a more natural appearance, seals better and is more in line with the natural shape of the head for more comfort and fit and to minimize wind turbulence.
5-year limited warranty
All Arai helmets are guaranteed against defects in material and workmanship, and can only be repaired by the correctly assembled first user for 5 years from the date of first use, but not more than 7 years from the date of manufacture.
Different outer scales
Unlike many other manufacturers, Arai offers for most models one size outer shell for every two helmet sizes. Together with differently shaped outer shells for different models it is almost impossible not to find the fit you are looking for.
Arai Internal test
This Arai helmet is designed to meet the strict Arai In-house criteria in addition to the mandatory ECE 22-05 standard.

When shopping online, it is very helpful to know exactly what size you need. To help you on your way, below you will find an overview of the helmet brands we sell, so you can easily estimate which helmet size you should choose in function of which helmet type.
To determine proper sizing, measure your head circumference just above the ears along the temples. Dut is the widest circumference point of your skull.Â
Arai CK-6 and Zamp Kids helmets must be compulsorily worn by karters up to 15 years old at National competitions. However, the following piece is important to know: [expander_maker id="1″ more="Read more" less="View less"]
'Helmets intended for heads with a circumference of 60 cm or more are considered adult head protection and will not be accepted for certification to this standard. Children requiring head protection in these sizes are encouraged to wear suitable helmets certified to adult standards.' Found on page 4 - 'constructions - A. General' via the following link https://www.fiakarting.com/sites/default/files/2019-09/CM2016.pdf

It is important to know that we sell EUROPEAN sizes, on the internet you often see Arai helmets for sale at a lower rate, these are usually Arai helmets with JAPANESE sizes. The biggest difference is in the inside of the helmet a European has an oval head in the length and a Japanese has an oval head in the width. So when buying a helmet make sure that you follow the correct European dimensions.
If you have doubts about a certain 'authenticity' of an Arai helmet, please contact us as an importer within the BELUX for the Arai motorsport and karting products and we will be happy to help you.
Regarding motorsport helmets, persons who wear glasses should note that the GP5 WP's visor opening offers a wider and higher field of vision i.e. is easier to put on glasses.
