Harness Schroth 20° SUPER SPORT XLT is used in motorsport competitions to protect your neck in the event of an accident to minimise impact.

Plastic entry-level model - exceptional performance at an unbeatable price. Equipped with sliding tethers and raised wings for optimum feel with the car.
Suitable for an upright seating position in all sports cars (Porsche, BMW, Ford, etc.) and touring car series with bucket seats (Cobra, Sparco, Recaro, etc.).

This type of HANS system can ONLY be connected with the HANS clips TWIST ANCHOR FIA 8858-2010

If your helmet is not equipped with this clips, you will need to purchase it EXTRA to use your Schroth HANS system!!!

Why wear a neck system?

Almost all deaths in racing accidents are due to head and neck injuries. In a crash, a pilot's body is held securely in place by his shoulder and pelvic belts. The head is protected from external impulses by the helmet. The weak link consists of the fact that the head and neck can still move unrestrictedly in all directions. A frontal impact, the head flying forward at high speed. In a full speed accident, the pressure on the back of the head is comparable to the weight of the car! At the end of this forward movement, there is a high risk of neck or skull base fracture.

Given the enormous braking power of sports cars, an airbag is not a reliable option. That's why they started looking for a system that is attached to the helmet, and still allows the pilot not to experience any significant inconvenience during the race.

The HANS system is a kind of 'harness' that rests on the shoulders and is held in place by the shoulder girdles. It is attached to the helmet via two straps. It is precisely these straps that stop the helmet (and therefore the head) at the critical moment in the event of a crash.
