Description

HANS 20° Pro CARBON

The HANS 20° Pro CARBON is Schroth's ultra-lightweight frontal headrest (FHR) HANS-device, made of high-quality carbon fiber. At only 460 grams, it is among the lightest HANS-devices on the market. The device combines an advanced design with Schroth's Vision Advantage Plus sliding straps, which provide enhanced vision during use. Thanks to the patented SlipStop Plus contact surfaces on the shoulders, the safety harness stays firmly in place, supported by retention wings.

Key features:

  • Weight: only 460 grams
  • Material: carbon fiber
  • Approved according to FIA 8858-2010 homologation
  • SlipStop Plus technology for optimal belt stability
  • Available in two angles: 20° and 30°
  • Available in two sizes: Medium and Large

Applications:

  • 20° HANS-device: Ideal for sedan, rally and sports cars.
  • 30° HANS-device: Designed for formula cars, single-seaters and models such as Radicals.

Size chart:

  • Medium: Suitable for a neck circumference of 15-18.5 inches (38-47 cm).
  • Large: Suitable for a neck circumference of 18+ inches (46 cm+).

Important information:

  • Choose carefully the right angle and size based on your seating position and collar width.
  • Angle selection: The angle of the HANS device is determined by the driver's position in the car. For touring cars, a 20° angle is most appropriate, while a 30° angle is more appropriate for formula cars in which the driver is more reclined.
  • Always check the latest homologation date of your HANS system.

Why a HANS system?
In racing accidents, head and neck injuries are the most common causes of death. Although the body is held firmly in place by the shoulder and pelvic belts, the head remains free to move, posing serious risks in a frontal impact.

The HANS system prevents this by stabilizing the head via straps attached to the helmet. In the event of a crash, the head is stopped, significantly reducing injuries to the neck or base of the skull. The device rests comfortably on the shoulders and does not hinder the rider while riding.

Comfort Option:
Do you have sensitive shoulders? Use Exgel gel pads in conjunction with the harness to provide extra comfort.

Make an informed choice for maximum safety and comfort on the job.
