HANS System III 20° is designed for use in motorsport competitions and provides essential neck protection in the event of an accident. This entry-level plastic model combines excellent performance with unmatched value for money. Thanks to the sliding tethers and raised wings, you maintain optimal driving feel and freedom of movement.

Application and compatibility.
This model is ideal for an upright driving position, such as in sports cars (Porsche, BMW, Ford, etc.) and touring cars with bucket seats (Cobra, Sparco, Recaro, etc.).

Innovative design
The HANS III is the third generation of molded HANS developed by Simpson. Thanks to an updated design and the use of a lightweight polymer, weight has been significantly reduced. The hollow shell construction reduces weight without sacrificing safety or durability. This makes the HANS III the lightest and most comfortable model in its class - with the exception of the carbon fiber versions.

Why use a HANS?

In racing accidents, head and neck injuries are the leading cause of death. While the body is held securely by the seat belts and the head is protected by the helmet, the neck remains vulnerable. In a head-on collision, the head can shoot forward with great force, leading to severe neck or skull base fractures.

An airbag offers insufficient protection in this context. This is why the HANS was developed: a shoulder belt-like frame that rests on the shoulders and is attached to the helmet via straps. In a crash, these straps restrict the movement of the head, preventing serious injuries.

Tip: Do you have sensitive shoulders? Consider using Exgel gel pads in conjunction with the harness for extra comfort.
